COME AND JOIN US ON 16 MAY BETWEEN 12PM - 2PM FOR A "CURRY AND CHAT"
With mental health issues targeting people of every age and mental illness still being a cause of unease for many, the importance of raising awareness has never been greater.
Published stats show that 1 in 4 people in the UK will experience a mental health problem each year. Many of us experience some form of mental health issues every week (such as anxiety and depression).
ELS supports Essex County Council and many other public bodies (including the NHS) with all legal issues involving the Mental Health legislation and we are keen on supporting the good work carried out in Essex and nationally by public bodies and the voluntary sector.
This year ELS joined forces with the Mental Health Foundation, a charity raising awareness about mental health including: stress, relationships, loneliness, altruism, sleep, alcohol and friendship.
As part of their Mental Health Awareness Week running from 13 to 19 May, ELS will take part in a national fundraising initiative organised by the Mental Health Foundation by arranging a “Curry and Chat” event in County Hall, Chelmsford, Fourth Floor Restaurant.
Please come on Thursday 16 May anytime between 12- 2 pm to have a Curry and Chat with your colleagues or friends and most importantly donate £1 (or as much as you can afford). We would be grateful for all your contributions in support of this important cause that affects us all.
ELS looks forward to seeing as many of you as possible in County Hall, Chelmsford on Thursday 16 May.
