This briefing will provide guidance and assistance for schools when dealing with land ownership matters, sharing parts of the school site with third parties, provide points of contact and include a discussion around other practical issues such as access and boundaries.
We will provide an overview of who owns school sites, when consents are required to sell or lease school land and how to decide whether a lease or licence or hiring agreement is required together with some practical steps which should be taken when a school is faced with property ownership issues.
